If you are somebody who relishes a humble, square meal and get stimulated at the idea of south Indian cuisine then Andhra cuisine should be on your list. However, what one must remember is that South Indian cuisine is not just about idli, dosa and sambar vada.\\r\\n\\r\\nThe different states of the versatile south India offer quite myriad food for the palette. So just as the name suggests, Andhra Bhawan presents some authentic Andhra khana. \\r\\n\\r\\nYou can find a lot of Andhra

restaurants in bangalore

, Delhi & Mumbai crowded on all days of the week serving Andhra meals. \\r\\n\\r\\nSure enough, within five minutes you can get seat in between hungry crowd. Now you cannot expect a proper cutlery service with soothing music in the background for the uppity Delhi crowd. What you can expect is more of a canteen atmosphere and lots of foodies licking off the last bit of that Mutton Sukha of their fingers. \\r\\n\\r\\nOne has to wade through the crowd to collect coupons for the meal. A veg thali will cost around Rs 70 and a non-veg thali Rs 140 either for lunch or dinner.\\r\\n\\r\\nAndhra veg thali has the following to offer:\\r\\n\\r\\n* Papad and two kind of achar (one spicy and the other sour)\\r\\n* Green chutney (not quite the coconut one severed with dosas)\\r\\n* Puris (smaller than the average North India puris)\\r\\n* A nice thick daal\\r\\n* Two subzis (ranging from cauliflower/Patta Gobi to Bhindi)\\r\\n* Rice (accompanied with ghee and gun powder). Gun powder is like a masala and one has to have in this form that is with ghee and rice to know it yummy factor.\\r\\n* Curd and Rasam\\r\\n* Sweet dish (payasam)\\r\\n\\r\\nThe non-veg thali will consist of all of this and a chicken or mutton dish. On some specific days you can find special disc like Mutton Sukha and Chicken Sukha; both pretty spicy yet scrumptious. On Sundays you can find special menu with chicken or mutton biriyani on it at most of the Andhra restaurants.\\r\\n\\r\\nThe best part of Andhra restaurants you can find that they are offering unlimited thalis. So you can happily eat without paying any extra penny. The entire staff is from Andhra and they are courteous and generous, serving large portion of any of the item one needs a refill for. \\r\\n\\r\\nFor its limited and conservative menu Andhra Bhawan mostly spills over with people at all times. The only thing working against this place is that everything happens at an unparallel speed. The staff is practically running around and there is no peace while eating really. \\r\\n\\r\\nTo keep up with the pace of this place one might not get the time to relax and enjoy the languid meal. One is almost forced to gobble up the food and quickly make way for the crowd waiting and trust me there will be hungry eyes fixated on your table until you make way!\\r\\n\\r\\nBut that aside, if you are hungry and love spicy food, then Andhra food at Andhra Bhawan is the place to be.
